# Plone on OpenShift!

*https://mbrasile.com/plone-on-openshift.html · 2012-12-18 · PaaS, Python*

No matter how far it goes... **cloud** is winning.

Why spending so much time to stress a local o remote machine, when you can have free services on PaaS?

I am delighted by **AppFog** and I have just found a great way to "remote" install [Plone on OpenShift](https://github.com/kagesenshi/plone-openshift-quickstart/blob/master/README.rst).

Before you can follow the easy tutorial, you need

- a free account on [OpenShift](https://openshift.redhat.com) (after signing up, just create namespace not the 1st app name)

- a free account on [Git](https://github.com)

- **rhc** (but you have good info on [installing on main platforms](https://openshift.redhat.com/community/get-started))

and you will end to have your own developing **Plone CMS** website at this address
**http://plone-$yournamespace.rhcloud.com**
